High-Security Cameras

The CMD3 camera can be found in high-security facilities across the world. Its simple installation process makes it attractive to installers and makes sure the maintenance process is highly cost-effective.

The CMD3-IP was the first of a new breed of IP cameras for the high-security market. Designed to deliver the same physical and cost-of-ownership benefits of the classic CMD3-IP but with the additional benefit of a high-definition camera instead of the standard analogue version.

Analogue cameras still have a huge part to play in high-security applications. The use of proven designs along with the latest high-resolution CCDs from Sony ensures that the CMD3-Analogue can deliver consistent, crisp images in the most challenging of light conditions.

The CMD3-AHD offers the opportunity for clients to have stunning full HD1080P images over their existing cable infrastructure. Compatible with major AHD recording systems the CMD3-AHD is a cost-effective performance upgrade for estates where major refits are simply not feasible.

The CMD3-IP uses auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af PoE.

The IP version of the CMD cameras is ONVIF 2.0 (Profile S) tested and approved. This makes it suitable for nearly all major VMS systems.

As VMS companies introduce new versions of their software we try to continually test our cameras with any significant changes they introduce. If you have a project simply contact us and we will speak to the VMS provider and perform testing to reassure you.

CMD Camera Range - Illumination

The CMD cameras use a high-performance LED illuminator. As standard these work on the 940nm wavelength making them invisible to the human eye when turned on.

This is important for room occupants as it means they can get undisturbed sleep when the lights of the room are off.

The spread of the IR illumination is matched to the camera lens angle to optimise the coverage of room with camera view and light.

CMD Camera Range - General

Yes.

All our products are designed by us on Solidworks 3D CAD software. We can provide you with simple PDF line drawings (some available on the site already) or any number of other formats including DXF, DWG, eDrawing etc.

Email sales@its-products.co.uk with your requirements and we will see how we can help.

The good news is that the rear mounting frame is identical for both camera types, and always has been.

The mounting frame is designed to fit into the corner of the room and to stay there. We recommend an anti-pick mastic is applied around the edge of the frame to minimise ligature risk so once it is in you don’t want to take it out.

So apart from the obvious cabling and recording challenges you may have once less headache you need to consider is the physical swap out. It is just six screws.

Yes.

We recently introduced the option of having the CMD range in stainless steel. This is an ideal solution if you are trying to match the aesthetics of existing room furnishing or if you have a requirement to clean the camera with a corrosive fluid*.

*Just check the cleaner does not damage the screens!

The camera screen is manufactured from a very tough polycarbonate with a scratch resistant coating. If, however, the camera screen does get damaged you may need to replace it. This is possible on site but is not easy as it requires sealing as part of the process. We would always recommend that the unit is returned to us for replacement but if this is not practical then contact us so we can issue you a specific and detailed instruction.
